You can request deletion of your Gouris AI: English Learning account and its associated data using any of the pathways below. All of them delete the same data.

Request account deletion

1. By email — available to everyone, no sign-in needed

Send an email to iamgourisdev@gmail.com with the subject “Delete My Account”, and include the email address on your Gouris AI: English Learning account so we can identify it. Requests are processed within 72 hours.

2. On this website — sign in and delete immediately

Sign in with Google using the account you want to remove. You are taken straight to the deletion form, where typing DELETE removes the account immediately, with no waiting period.

3. In the app

Open Gouris AI: English Learning and go to Profile → Delete account (available from version 1.7.2 onwards). Your account is deleted straight away.

What happens when you delete your account

Your profile, learning progress, conversations and exercise data are deleted immediately and permanently. Records of payments you made are kept in anonymised form — no longer linked to your name or email — because we are required to retain financial records. Any active service is cancelled; unused time on a pass is not refunded. Payment records held by our payment provider are subject to their own retention policy.

This action is irreversible. Once deleted, your account and learning data cannot be recovered.

Data that is deleted

Your name, email address, phone number and profile details
Learning progress, streaks, exercise history and reading results
Conversations with Diya, our AI English companion, and any voice recordings from them
Video course watch progress

Data that is retained, and for how long

Payment and purchase records — retained in anonymised form, no longer linked to you, for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires us to keep them.
Records held by our payment provider (Razorpay) — governed by their own retention policy, not ours.

Before you delete: if you have an active Pro Pass, deleting your account cancels it. Unused time is not refunded, so you may prefer to wait until it expires. No other step is required before deletion.
